Poem #2 by Jezza Morgan
We live in the info age
walking casually
as no sage
staring
staring
at our hands
super
computers
in our hands
sometimes typing
not often reading
and rarely thinking
clutching the
world’s information
in our hands
we glide gleefully
thru our day
sipping data
along the way
sipping data
along the way
until
in our pockets
back it goes
until Becky Paige
or Robert Maige
call or beep a note
then back we go
staring
staring
staring
rinse-repent
never-ending
rhymes-relent
Now Rise
to Learn
Ne’er Relent
For
A mind Is
Has
and always to Be
a beautiful thing
not to waste
